We are seeking to employ a staff member to assist with the day to day running of our successful After School Club , providing safe, creative and appropriate play activities for the children in your care.

3.30 – 5.30pm Mon – Wed

£9.18 per hour.

Free attendance at the club for your children if they are pupils of our school.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, creative and appropriate play activities during the After School Club session.
  • Provide care for the children.
  • Take part in the day-to-day administration of the Club as agreed and in accordance with the Club’s policies and procedures.
  • Develop good relations with children, parents and other staff to contribute to a harmonious environment.
  • Undertake additional activities as agreed, e.g. administering first aid, updating notice board etc
  • Preparing snack.
  • Set up and put away equipment before and at the end of club each day
  • Attending meetings and training when required.
  • Reflect and evaluate all practices.

Skills and Experience

  • NVQ Level 2 in Play work or equivalent or willingness to work towards, but not a requirement.
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to assess and meet children’s individual needs.

Personal Qualities

  • Reliable and able to work as part of a team.
  • Creative, energetic, enthusiastic and fun.
  • Dynamic and self motivated
  • Physical Fit, can lift toys & equipment.
  • Good judgement and common sense.
  • Willing to undertake on-going self development and training
