We are a GOOD School in each and every aspect - Ofsted 2016

Enterprise Week and Careers Day

We have had a wonderful Enterprise Week at school which concluded Friday 6th November with a Careers Day where we asked visitors into school to talk about their career choices and in groups the children had an opportunity to interview each guest.

To celebrate Enterprise week we held Cliffe Market Stall on Thursday 5th Nov from 3pm.

Each class had worked on a different activity which they then shared/ sold on Thursday-

North Wing : researched and made Flapjacks, drawing posters to advertise their stall.

East Wing; researched and tasted different smoothies before writing out instructions how to make them, working out a budget and the price they would charge as well as making posters to advertise their stall.

South Wing; investigated recycling, reusing and how to reduce waste in order to save our planet. They made bags for life from t shirts, designing marvellous logos and pictures for them. They made posters to advertise their work with catchy slogans to entice customers.

West Wing; used the program SCRATCH to design and make computer games for the children at school to play. They wrote out instructions for their own game and to advertise. They set up an arcade in the Yorkshire Room and customers paid to play these very popular games.

The Market Stall was a very popular and busy event. The School Council will now count the money and decide on what they will spend their profits.

Careers Day guests were a variety of people who kindly gave their time for the children.
